See how the group is doing

Group overview gathers revenue, result, liquidity, receivables and payables — plus budget vs actual per company. You act inside the company.

Written by Nicki Elgaard

Group overview is leadership’s picture of the group: one login, several companies. You see how things are going — and where something needs doing. You approve and pay inside the individual company.

The overview exists only on group accounts. A single company has its own dashboard instead.

Why it matters

Without a shared view you hop between companies to find revenue, liquidity or overdue invoices. Here it sits together, with a door into the company you need to work in.

How it works in Payfriend

When you sign in to the group, owner and admin with access land on Overview. Everyone else lands on Companies.

The figures

Five KPIs — revenue, result, liquidity, receivables, payables — plus a table per company. Pick a period: This month, Last month, Year to date, Fiscal year to date or Last 30 days.

  • Each company’s figures are the same as that company’s own overview.

  • Currencies are never added together. DKK and EUR are two answers, not one.

  • Companies without bookkeeping are left out of revenue and result (shown as missing bookkeeping). Liquidity, receivables and payables can still appear.

Budget vs actual

If the company has an active or locked budget covering the period, budget, actual and variance show on the row. If it doesn’t, budget is not shown on that row — that is not the same as “budgeted to zero”.

You act inside the company

Click a company to enter it. Approvals, payments and budget edits happen there — not on the overview.

Who sees the figures

Only owner and admin can hold Group overview. A member never sees it.

The owner controls access under Team: the Group overview column (on/off) per person.

Per-currency overview of the group

A group statement with intercompany eliminated

Budget vs actual per company, when a budget exists

Approving and paying from the overview

Operations across companies (e.g. overdue invoices and missing documents)

One total across currencies

Important: Trade between companies in the group is counted in both places. This is a management sum, not an official group financial statement. We flag rows where we can see intercompany trade — we do not strip it out.

Very large groups (more than 25 companies) get KPIs for the first 25. The page says so clearly if anything is omitted.

What you do

  1. Confirm the account is a group, and that you are owner or admin with Group overview on

  2. Read Overview — change period if you need another window

  3. Enter the company that needs action

  4. Set a budget in the company if the row has no budget vs actual
