How to set up a Telia policy

From an empty list to a working Telia rule: over DKK 10,000 on a chain, under DKK 10,000 auto. Simulate afterwards.

Goal: from an empty (or almost empty) list to a working Telia rule. Large Telia bills need approval. Small ones nobody should touch.

In Payfriend: Settings → Approval Flow.

The example uses DKK 10,000. You can pick another amount.

Before you start

  • Telia exists as a supplier in Payfriend

  • You can manage the approval flow

  • You know who should approve the large Telia bills

Steps

1. Open the list

Go to Settings → Approval Flow.

You see Policies. At the bottom sits All others — it stays. It catches everything your Telia policies do not.

If the list is empty apart from All others, the empty state says a policy takes a minute.

2. Policy for Telia over DKK 10,000

Choose New policy.

  1. Name:Telia over 10,000 (the field uses that as the example).

  2. Keep it Active.

  3. If — add conditions:

    • Suppliers: Telia

    • Amount → From:10000

    • Currency: DKK

  4. Then:

    • Approve:Chain

    • Add a step and pick the colleague who must say yes (Team). Everyone on the step must approve.

    • Book: on, if it should be booked once approved

    • Pay:None, paid manually — or Add to the payment queue when it should be ready to pay after approval

  5. Save.

Amount From means DKK 10,000 and above.

3. Policy for Telia under DKK 10,000

Back to the list. New policy again.

  1. Name:Telia under 10,000

  2. If:

    • Suppliers: Telia

    • Amount → To:10000

    • Currency: DKK

  3. Then:

    • Approve:Auto — nobody is asked

    • Book: on

    • Pay:Add to the payment queue, or Auto on due date via Automatic Payment if Overførselsservice is connected

  4. Save.

Amount To means below DKK 10,000. The two policies do not overlap.

4. Order

Drag so both Telia rows sit above All others. Order between “over” and “under” does not matter here, because the amounts do not overlap. More specific policies always belong above All others.

5. Simulate

On the list: Simulate.

  • Supplier Telia, amount 4,000 DKK → should hit Telia under 10,000 (Auto)

  • Supplier Telia, amount 15,000 DKK → should hit Telia over 10,000 (Chain)

  • Another supplier → All others

If that matches, the Telia rule is running.

Check that it worked

  • Two Telia policies on the list, All others at the bottom

  • Simulate hits chain over 10,000 and auto under

  • A real Telia bill under DKK 10,000 is auto-approved

  • A real Telia bill over DKK 10,000 lands with the approver
