A policy can approve without asking anyone, book afterwards, and put the amount in line for payment. Typical for known, small spend — rent, Telia under a threshold, subscriptions you trust.
It is still Overførselsservice / the payment queue. Not a separate “Autopay”.
Before you start
You trust the supplier and the amount window
For auto on due date:Overførselsservice is connected (Automatic Payment under Settings → Payments), and the bill is DKK to a Danish reg. + account number
Steps
1. Open the policy
Settings → Approval Flow. New policy, or click an existing one.
Set If so only the right bills match (supplier + amount + currency). Other amounts and currencies should fall through to a chain or All others.
2. Auto-approve
Under Then → Approve choose Auto.
Auto approves without asking anyone, so the chain is not used. No MitID, no email to a manager — the policy says yes.
3. Book
Turn Book on if the bill should be booked once it is approved. If it was auto-approved, that happens in the same run.
4. Pay
Three choices:
On screen | What it means |
None, paid manually | You pay later under Bills |
Add to the payment queue | It sits ready. You send it when you want |
Auto on due date via Automatic Payment | Payfriend queues it in Overførselsservice for the due date. Needs a connected agreement, DKK and Danish reg. + account |
If you cannot pick auto payment, Automatic Payment is not connected. Connect the agreement, or choose the queue.
The money does not leave the same day via Overførselsservice — next banking day (or due date, if later). IBAN and foreign currency cannot use that rail.
5. Save and simulate
Simulate an amount inside the window (should hit auto) and an amount outside (should hit a chain or All others).
Check that it worked
The policy shows Auto — not Chain
A small test bill is approved without anyone being asked
Booking lands, if you turned it on
Queue or Overførselsservice matches what you chose
Common issues
Symptom | Cause | Fix |
The manager is still asked | A policy above this one matches first, with a chain | Move the auto policy up, or tighten If on the chain |
Auto OS is locked | No Overførselsservice agreement | Settings → Payments → Automatic Payment |
IBAN bill in the OS queue | OS does not cover IBAN | Pay via Open Banking, or keep Pay on manual/queue |
A large amount went auto | Amount To is missing | Set To, so large bills fall through to a chain |
