Meta (Facebook/Instagram ads) typically issues several receipts per month — one per charge — not one combined invoice. Payfriend recognises Meta withdrawals in the bank (e.g. FACEBK) and creates a task in Inbox. You do not sign Meta into Payfriend.

Access to the Meta ad accounts you pay for
Bank is connected so missing documents can be detected
Steps
1. Copy the Payfriend address
Go to Settings → Inbox → Email tab. Copy Payfriend address (bilag+…@inbox.payfriend.io — Always on).
Alternatively, connect Gmail or Outlook under Email accounts and use that mailbox instead. See Your Payfriend forward address.
2. Set the contact email in Meta
Do this for each ad account you pay for:
Open Meta Ads Manager and select the ad account
Go to Ad account setup
Ad account contact → Edit email → paste the Payfriend address (or the connected mailbox) → save
Meta sends Confirm email address for ad notifications. Open the mail and confirm — otherwise no receipts arrive. If you used the Payfriend address, the confirm mail lands in Inbox
Notification settings → Billing and payments → turn email on

3. Enable Meta in Payfriend
Settings → Inbox → Meta tab → Enable.
Payfriend then follows Meta withdrawals in the bank and creates tasks when a document is missing.
4. When Inbox asks for a document
Inbox may show a task for Meta + month.
Open the task. Choose Open at the supplier — you land in Meta Billing
Download the month’s receipts
Upload or drop the files onto the task (several files are OK)
Already booked? Mark as booked elsewhere — the task leaves the queue (history under Filtered)
Receipts that arrive by mail (Your Meta ads receipt…) also appear in Inbox and can match the bank.
Several ad accounts
Repeat the Meta setup on each account you pay for. Accounts the customer pays themselves belong in their books.
Check that it worked
The Meta tab under Inbox shows the channel is on
The Meta confirm mail is accepted
Meta withdrawals in the bank create Inbox tasks
Receipts can be uploaded on the task
Common issues

Rare: monthly invoicing at Meta
If you pay via monthly invoicing (not card): open Billing hub, add an email for invoices, and confirm it. See Meta’s guide.
