Simulate sits on the list under Settings → Approval Flow. It does not move money and it does not book anything. It shows which line wins for a made-up case.
Use it after you have moved policies, or before a new Telia rule goes live.
Before you start
At least one policy (besides All others), or you want to check that All others catches the rest
Steps
1. Open the list
Settings → Approval Flow. The simulator is on the same page as the policies — not inside a single policy.
2. Fill in a made-up case
Supplier — or leave it as unknown
Amount
Account (optional, but use it if the policy matches on account)
3. Read the result
Payfriend shows which policy matches — the first on the list that hits.
If you expect Telia DKK 4,000 on auto, and it hits a chain higher up: move or tighten the upper policy.
If it matches no policy, the bill follows the old flow until All others exists. On a normal list All others should catch it.
Simulate at least two amounts when you have a window (below and above the threshold).
Check that it worked
Telia below the threshold → the auto policy
Telia above the threshold → the chain policy
Another supplier → All others (or the policy you intended)
Common issues
Symptom | Cause | Fix |
Simulate hits the “wrong” line | First match wins | The top matching policy is the correct one — move or tighten If |
No match | All others is missing, or the policy is off | Turn the policy on; All others belongs at the bottom |
Account policy does not hit | Account is not set in the simulator | Pick the account the line uses |
